Council is creating opportunities for young people to get involved during Youth Week 2014
National Youth Week (NYW) is the largest celebration of young people in Australia. Thousands of young people aged 12-25 from across Australia get involved in NYW each year. Council is supporting plenty of programs so that young people can get involved- check out these opportunities below.
Artists aged 12 – 25 years can enter to win some great prizes including an mini iPad and book vouchers. Entry is open from the 1 – 30 April. Find out more Graphic Competition information (1494 kb)or download the Graphic comp entry form (47 kb) here.
Young people aged are invited to share in the fun at the Youth Week Expo, to to find out more about local services, opportunities in the local area and how to get involved. This free event includes fun activities, live music and performances and information stalls. Visit the Youth Expo at St. Clair Recreation Centre, 109 Woodville Road – Friday 4 April between 11am – 2pm. The Youth Week 2014 flyer is also available for download.
Enter the skate competiton at the Lefevre Skate Park on Monday 14 April. The event includes prizes and giveaways – and a free Sausage sizzle! Participants must wear helmets and safety gear. Registrations from 10.30am with the comp running from 11am- 3.30pm. Click here for more details.
