The Port Festival is an arts and cultural voyage that has something for everyone - theatre, music, dance, visual arts, circus performers, fabulous food, workshops, forums, tours and trails, and much more.
It's a celebration of Port Adelaide's distinctive character - its people, places, culture, heritage and natural landscape, and takes place from 8 -16 October 2009.
The eight days of fun and festivities include a number of ground-breaking major events commissioned especially for the Festival, some of them staged for the first time in Adelaide.
Events, performances and installations will be set along the Port River and amongst the Port's wonderful heritage buildings, with the iconic Port Adelaide Lighthouse and area around historic Nile Street providing major hubs for activities throughout the Festival.
