PAE Easter Collection: Council Bins Scheduled For Collection Good Friday 18 April 2014 Will Be Collected Saturday 19 April 2014

There will be no council bins collected on Good Friday 18 April 2014. These collections will occur on Saturday 19 April 2014. Please note: this is the only change over the 2014 Easter break.

There is an error on the Area 1 and Area 2 calendars, where the recycle/green organics bin collections were switched for 19 April 2014. Collections will occur as per normal meaning if it is the week your green organics bin would normally be collected, the green organics bin will be collected. If it is the week your recycling bin would normally be collected, the recycling bin will be collected.

There will be no change in services for the following public holidays (bins collected on normal collection days): Easter Monday (21 April 2014), Anzac Day (Friday 25 April 2014), Queen’s Birthday/Volunteers Day (Monday 9 June 2014) and Labour Day (6 October 2014).

In 2014 Council will not be posting out all calendars to all properties. For residents who are unable to access the internet, calendars can be collected from Council Libraries, Community Centres, the Visitor Information Centre and the Civic Centre in Port Adelaide.

Where should I place my bins?

  • Wheelie bins must be placed out for collection by 6 am on the collection day
  • Wheelie bins should be placed at the roadside or next to the driveway, as close to the road as possible (within one metre)
  • Always ensure wheelie bins are placed in a clear and unobstructed area and at least one metre away from objects such as trees, poles, street signs, hydrants, overhanging branches and cars.
