Stockade Botanical Park
In the midst of suburbia, spread over more than five hectares, this former quarry is now the site of a special sensory garden filled with colourful and aromatic plants. The tranquil and relaxing park setting includes many special features that offer a spectacular backdrop for wedding photos including the 12 metre high waterfall tumbling over the cliff. Take a stroll and admire the extensive gardens or just have a quiet picnic with family and friends.
During daylight savings period you can access the Park each day from 7.00am to 8.00pm, during the cooler months when daylight savings does not apply the Park is open from 7.00am to 6.00pm. Electric Barbecues are located in the parkland setting above the waterfall. Toilet facilities are next to the car park. For details of resources within the reserve click here.
Capacity: The Park is capable of holding up to 800 people. The neighbouring paved area with gazebo can hold up to 100 people and is an excellent venue for smaller weddings, picnics and other celebrations. The surrounds to the left of the waterfall can comfortably hold up to 100 people, while the small grassed area to the west of the Park has a capacity of 40 people.

Stockade Botanical Park is a public park and as such is open to the general public. However for large gatherings, special events and weddings a hire fee applies. The current hire rate is $110 for the minimum 3 hour hire, with an additional charge of $44 per hour. If you are planning an event or a wedding you must contact Council.
