Draft City of Port Adelaide Enfield Tourism Strategy and Action Plan – Tell us what you think

Tourism contributes greatly to the Council’s economy and is a major driver of the unique brand of the City of Port Adelaide Enfield. The draft City of Port Adelaide Enfield’s Tourism Strategy and Action Plan 2020 has been developed to provide a road map to growing tourism across the Council region.

The Council region has some of the most unique tourism offerings in South Australia. This draft strategy aims to assist collaboration between business, tourism providers, Council and peak bodies.

To ensure growth of the tourism sector within the City of Port Adelaide Enfield, this draft Strategy has been developed based on four strategic priority areas that include;

  1. Driving demand - to increase the desirability of the Port Adelaide Enfield region as a travel destination, inspiring more people to visit, stay longer and spend more.
  2. Working collaboratively - to build collaboration amongst the City of Port Adelaide Enfield’s stakeholders to grow tourism in the region.
  3. Supporting our tourism industry to enhance the visitor experience - every visitor has a positive, memorable experience by building the experience base in the City of Port Adelaide Enfield.
  4. Using events to drive visitation - to make visiting the City of Port Adelaide Enfield a year round proposition for leisure travellers.

There are a number of actions in the priority areas of the plan that will ensure the Strategy can be implemented.

Council is currently seeking feedback on the Draft Tourism Strategy and Action Plan.
