A number of regular programs are held across our library service for children and families.
Baby Bounce sessions are designed specially for children aged 0-2 years. Introduce your child to the joys of language by sharing nursery rhymes, fingerplays, stories, music and songs. These sessions are held weekly from 10.30 - 11am.
Preschool Storytime takes place at each of our libraries weekly during school term time to encourage the enjoyment of reading and libraries. Stories, songs, rhymes and a simple craft activity are offered in these sessions for 2 - 5 year olds.
School Holidays Prog rams are planned for each school holiday period. Sessions are very popular and create a hive of activity in the library. They cater for all ages with a variety of session including craft, performers, workshops and much more.

DigiKids for children aged 8-13 years who enjoy technology and would like to explore exciting gadgets and gizmos. Offered at four libraries. No need to book. Just bring your enthusiasm and a curious mind.
Creative Kids is a space where kids can create, invent and discover! There's no need to book. All activities are held 3.30-4.30pm during school terms. Frequency of sessions may vary so check online for details.
Book Chatter Club helps to inspire children aged 8-13 years to read differend kinds of books while enjoying fun and creative activities. Held monthly on Mondays 3.30-4.30pm at Semaphore Library, there is no need to book.
The Library offers many activites for it's members of all ages and interests.
The library runs regular book clubs as well as special events and activites which can range from author talks, to art and craft workshops to information sessions. Activities can cater for small or large groups. Some programs require a booking while others do not. Book an hour-long one-on-one session. Bring your own laptop, tablet or smart phone to the library or use one of the library’s desktop computers. These sessions are available at all our libraries. Bookings are essential.
We offer a range of training opportunities for customers in the use of computers and the Internet. Each session is hands-on and last for approximately one hour. Basic training is provided on keyboard skills, mouse use and computer terminology. Session can also cover an introduction to Internet Explorer, how to search for information on the web as well as basic email. Bookings are essential.
