Council has four library branches located across the Council area. Membership is free and provides access to the online library catalogue 24/7.

The library service offers:

  • an extensive and varied collection for loan
  • a range of activities and programs
  • free wifi access and ability to print (costs apply)
  • personal computers with access the Internet, word processing and computer applications
  • Home Library Service for housebound customers
  • community information and displays
  • community rooms for hire
  • Local History resources


Our library is part of the One Card Library Network, connecting 130 public libraries throughout South Australia. You can use your library card and PIN to access items through a shared single library catalogue that is accessible 24/7. Items can be reserved in libraries throughout the state and delivered to your preferred library site, and then returned to any library.
