Heritage Grants

Council's Heritage Grant seeks to encourage owners of Local Heritage Places and Contributory Items to maintain, conserve or restore places of local significance. Depending on the demand for assistance and funds available for the respective financial year, a maximum of 50% of the value of completed work, not to exceed $3,000 in any one financial year may be approved.

As part of this Grant, Council's Heritage Advisor can assist owners of Local or Contributory properties by providing advice regarding the eligibility of proposed works. You are required to have an onsite meeting with Council's Heritage Advisor prior to submitting any application. Please call Council's Development Services to make an appointment on 8405 6605.

Council may refund Development Application fees relating to any Development Application pursuant to the Development Act 1993, where the fee relates directly to heritage conservation works which would be considered under the Heritage Grants Program.
